Los Angeles Festival’s 2018 Event Reportedly Shuttered Due to Low Ticket Sales

FYF Fest only announced its 2018 lineup a little over a month ago and the Los Angeles festival wasn’t scheduled the take place for another two and a half months, but now the organizers have opted to cancel the event. More

It may have taken 13 years, but it looks like the creators of FYF Fest have figured out the key to creating a memorable festival experience-diversity. FYF Fest is in its 13th year, and like most preteens it’s been going through some awkward growing pains. Transitioning from downtown’s State Historic Park to the Coliseum in 2014 was no small feat and that year had it’s fair share of hiccups (massive lines to enter the grounds, the indoor stage that quickly turned into a fire hazard, and the labyrinthine journey to get from one stage to the next, etc.). Kudos to the FYF organizers for mobilizing like a Rapid Response Unit. In response to the problems of Day One, they’ve instituted changes overnight. The entrance lines are shorter and attendees were reportedly given free water by way of apology for the long wait on Saturday. The price of water has been cut from $3 to $2. And the balconies inside the Los Angeles Sports Arena have been opened up to accommodate those unable to access the indoor shows for lack of room. More
