Buried Beds

Premiere: “Ivory Towers” MP3

Feb 23, 2011

The Philly chamber-folk quintet Buried Beds take their moniker from a spooky curio from their hometown’s history. Apparently, during a colonial yellow fever epidemic the city officials made every citizen bury their bed to stop the spread of the contagion. In step with their idiosyncratic name, Buried Beds make chamber music that rocks as much as it emotes. Their sophomore LP, Tremble the Sails, was recorded by band leaders Brandon Beaver and Eliza Jones and mixed by The Spinto Band‘s Nick Krill. Download the poppy preview track, “Ivory Towers,” above. Also, check out “Breadcrumb Trail.” The full-length streets March 1 via Admiral Byrd Records. U.S. tour dates with Murder By Death start today.
