The National Debut “Terrible Love” on Jimmy Fallon

The National played a brand-new song on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night. The excellent tune is the opening cut from the Brooklyn band's upcoming LP, High Violet, due May 11th on 4AD. "Terrible Love" has all the elements of a grand National song: a big, cresting melody, horn fanfare, and stadium-filling guitars. We have the video. More

Vampire Weekend, Jenny Lewis, Grizzly Bear, Tegan & Sara Make Crafts For Haiti

Haiti is still recovering from January's devastating earthquake. Aiding the recovery efforts is a group of musicians and artists who are auctioning off exclusive items to benefit the nation. The project, called Crafts For a Cause, is spearheaded by Binki Shapiro of Little Joy and will go live on March 15th. Among the items up for bidding, an original song by Mark Ronson, a camera painted by Drew Barrymore, and a shirt designed by M. Ward. Other artists involved include: Jenny Lewis, Tegan & Sara, Vampire Weekend, Grizzly Bear, Fleet Foxes, Feist, Conor Obest, Aziz Ansari, Devendra Banhart, Cat Power, Daft Punk, Natalie Portman, The Strokes, and many others.
