Destroyer
Destroyer, the indie-rocker poet, New Pornographer and avant-garde musician Dan Bejar, has a rewarding and deep songbook.
On April 20th, Merge will give new fans a chance fall in love with the Canadian artist’s topsy-turvy wordplay through reissued and remastered versions of three of Bejar’s early LPs. The full-lengths on tap are 1998’s City of Daughters, 2000’s Thief, and 2001’s stone-cold classic Streethawk: A Seduction.
City of Daughters and Thief will be available on CD, and Streethawk is coming on both CD and vinyl. All three will have brand new packaging and they’re available for preview and pre-order in the Merge store with a discounted “bundle” price until street date.
In other Bejar news, Mountain Goats leader John Darnielle recently wrote some extremely nice comments about Destroyer on his Last Plane to Jakarta blog. Read the post here.

I have always thought about this matter, do people really buy CD or vinyl these days? I think most of the people listen to music on their portable devices or smartphones. iTunes and Amazon do have a huge music library and most people are buying from these websites.
