Guitarist Nick McCarthy Leaves Franz Ferdinand
Plans to Focus on the Family
Scotland's Franz Ferdinand have maintained the same lineup since their start and their iconic 2004-released self-titled debut album, but alas that's now changing. Guitarist Nick McCarthy has announced that he's leaving the band. But before you suspect he's had some big fight and falling out with the rest of the band, the reason is much more sensible: he wants to spend more time with his young family. McCarthy won't be involved in the recording and touring the band's next album, but the door has been left ajar for him to return to the band one day. Below are the full social media statements by the band and McCarthy.
