Los Angeles’ HEALTH have shared a new song, “MASS GRAVE,” that features the guest vocals of Soccer Mommy (aka Nashville’s Sophie Allison) and was produced by Corrin Roddick (aka one half of Canadian electro-pop duo Purity Ring). The single is out now via Loma Vista and can be heard below.

The last album by HEALTH (Jacob Duzsik, John Famiglietti, and Benjamin Miller) was 2015’s Death Magic. The band has worked with Purity Ring before, remixing their song “Begin Again” in 2015.

In a press release HEALTH issued this amusing statement about the new collaboration: “The annals of music history are filled with a rich tradition of trios. Crosby, Stills, & Nash… Emerson, Lake, and Palmer… Lennon, McCartney, and that other guy… And now Soccer Mommy, the guy from Purity Ring, and HEALTH. We give you ‘MASS GRAVE.’”

Allison had this to say: “I really enjoyed getting to work with the guys from HEALTH on this song. It’s one of the first features I’ve ever done and I love the finished product. It has a kind of apathetic sadness to it that I was really drawn to.”

Soccer Mommy released her debut full-length album, Clean, back in March via Fat Possum.
