Conan Kicks Off With a Visit From Jack White
White and O’Brien performed a track off Live at Third Man.
Nov 09, 2010 Jack White
Last night, Conan O’Brien’s newest late-night venture, Conan, began on a high note with a little help from White Strips/Raconteurs/Dead Weather frontman Jack White. The pair shared the brand new soundstage for not only the standard talk-show interview, but also a wild rockabilly performance of Eddie Cochran’s “Twenty Flight Rock.” The toe-tapping tune, which highlights O’Brien on both vocals and guitar, is off Live at Third Man, a collaborative record White produced with O’Brien last June.
In case you missed it last night, you can check out the performance—and O’Brien’s personalized bedazzled guitar strap—below, as well as the interview with White that followed. For more of O’Brien’s wacky antics (we can never get enough of the Masturbating Bear), remember to tune into TBS on weeknights at 11 p.m.
