Johnny Marr Announces Debut Solo Album “The Messenger”

Today is ex-Smiths member Johnny Marr's birthday. What better way to celebrate than by gearing up for his forthcoming debut solo album? Called, The Messenger, the project is set to be released sometime next year.
As for the long-awaited Smiths reunion? Don’t hold your breath. “Everybody seems to know more about a Smiths reunion than I do,” Marr told NME. “Those rumors are like a sport for everyone involved, bar the people who were in the group 30 years ago. But it's not happening.”
