Alt-J released their third album, Relaxer, last month via Canvasback Music. Now they have shared a remix of “In Cold Blood” by American dance music producer Baauer. The original sounded like something that could have easily been found on the band’s Mercury Prize-winning debut album from 2012, An Awesome Wave, whereas Baauer’s remix ups the bass and adds in beats and stutters. Listen below.
Also read our interview with alt-J about Relaxer, our review of the album, and our Album of the Week write up on Relaxer.
Previously they shared “3WW,” which featured the vocals of Ellie Rowsell of Wolf Alice, as well as a video for “3WW,” and “In Cold Blood,” as well as a video for “In Cold Blood” and a video for “Deadcrush.” They have also launched a web game on their website, stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform “In Cold Blood” with The Roots, and shared “Adeline.”
