Listen: Foals – “What Went Down (Haxan Cloak Remix)”
What Went Down, Due August 28 via Warner Music
Aug 05, 2015
Foals
Foals previously announced their new album, What Went Down (out August 28 via Warner Music). They’ve already shared the title track via its video and the audio for “Mountain At My Gates,” as well as its Spherical virtual reality video. Now “What Went Down” gets the remix treatment courtesy of The Haxan Cloak (aka British producer and musician Bobby Krlic), who muddies up the song with distorted vocals and dirty beats. It keeps threatening to build into a dancefloor banger, but then goes in more experimental directions. Check it out below.
The Haxan Cloak’s most recent album was 2013’s sophomore record, Excavation. But he also did production work on the latest albums by Björk and HEALTH.
