New Order’s New Album to Feature Brandon Flowers, Iggy Pop, and La Roux’s Elly Jackson
Plus Tour Dates Announced and Watch New Album Teaser Trailer
Jul 07, 2015
New Order
New Order had previously announced last month that on September 25 they would release Music Complete, their first studio album in a decade, first for their new label Mute, and first not to feature founding member Peter Hook (but it sees the return of founding member Gillian Gilbert). Now they have revealed that the album features several high profile guest vocalists: Brandon Flowers, Iggy Pop, and La Roux’s Elly Jackson. They have also announced some European tour dates and shared another teaser trailer for the album.
Flowers named his band The Killers after a fake band that appeared in the video for New Order’s 2001 single “Crystal.” He sings on “Superheated,” described in a press release as the album’s “fittingly epic closer.”
Iggy Pop appears on “Stray Dog” and La Roux’s Elly Jackson lends her talents to three songs, being featured on “Tutti Frutti” and “People On the High Line,” and singing backing vocals on “Plastic.” La Roux supported New Order on a tour last year.
