If you support Under the Radar‘s Patreon page at the minimum contribution of at least $1.00 a month you get access to our Patreon-only feed featuring exclusive content only available to Patreon supporters. Today’s Patreon exclusive is a selection of previously unseen photos of St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) from two photo-shoots Under the Radar‘s co-publisher Wendy Lynch Redfern did with her early in the musician’s career.
The first shoot was done in 2007, in honor of St. Vincent’s debut album, Marry Me, which was released that year. The shoot was done at the original Largo club on Fairfax Ave. in Los Angeles, where she was performing that night, for a print magazine article in our Pleased to Meet You new artists section. Then the following year, in 2008, we did a quick photo-shoot with her in the Echo Park area of Los Angeles holding a protest sign of her own making for our 2008 Protest Issue. Wendy also got some photos of her not holding a protest sign and these are the ones featured here. None of the four photos have been published or posted to our website before.
