This week Under the Radar is visiting Welcome to the Village, a festival in the Netherlands that not only features favorites like Jenny Lewis and Battles, but also looks at how the world will look like in the future with special presentations featuring ecology, design, and art.
To get us in a utopic mood, we reached out Belgium-based five-piece Whispering Sons to contribute to our ongoing mixtape series. “This mixtape explores the duality on which Whispering Sons builds its music. Where Side A embodies frustration and outrageous anger, side B portrays a more reasoned rage, melancholy and even hope,” says the band via email. “It’s that duality which keeps on inspiring us and is inherent in all of our music.”
Listen below. Joining us in De Groene Ster for the fest? Cool! Grab any last minute information you might need here.
