The Decemberists have announced the upcoming release of What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World, the follow-up to the band’s 2011 LP The King Is Dead. Making the announcement frontman Colin Meloy appeared on a street corner in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighbordhood, busking beneath a mural of the record’s album art. In addition to playing the band’s classic track “The Engine Driver,” Meloy performed a brand new track titled “Make You Better.”
