The New Pornographers Announce “Brill Brew” Coffee

Bands have resorted to some pretty strange merchandising gimmicks over the years (Flaming Lips gummies, anyone?) so The New Pornographers’ new coffee blend “Brill Brew” isn’t the strangest idea we’ve heard of, and actually sounds pretty delicious.

The blend is part of the band’s promotion for their upcoming album Brill Bruisers, which is due out later this month, and it will be sold through Intelligentsia. Coffees will come with a digital download for Brill Bruisers, and was chosen by frontman Carl Newman. “Brill Brew” is reportedly a Kenyan grown coffee with green apple, mango, and nectarine flavors.

Brill Bruisers is out August 25. Here’s their latest video, “War on the East Coast.”
