Twin Shadow Announces Tour Dates
Slated to Release His Next Record on Warner Bros
Nov 03, 2014
Twin Shadow
In August, Twin Shadow’s George Lewis, Jr. announced he was postponing his upcoming tour dates. Today he reassured the world that it wasn’t us, it was him, and that we’re still invited to his birthday party. The wait was for a good reason—the emotive R&B pop musician is now signed to Warner Bros, and the future looks bright.
“When I last wrote, I shared the news that we had to postpone our tour,” says Lewis via press release. “With a huge sigh of relief I can finally reveal a few more details about what is happening in the Twin Shadow camp and also share new tour dates with you.
Towards the end of the recording of the third Twin Shadow album I came into a strong feeling, a place of creative change from which I’d like to give you an uncompromised experience at every turn. In order to push in the right direction I had to put the brakes on the tour, the planned album release, and reconsider where Twin Shadow was headed. With a bit of perspective I came to realize that I was going to need help to pull off the vision for this next album.
I’m excited to announce that I’ve found a group of like minded people at Warner Bros. Records to help me accomplish this goal. In the interest of progress and adventure I look forward to the new relationship (and hopefully a coffee with Prince).”
So there you have it. All is well in Twin Shadow land. (And seriously, someone please get this guy a latte with The Purple One.) A new album is due out next year. In the meanwhile, check out his slate of tour dates below.
