Destroyer (the project of Dan Bejar) released a new album, ken, last October via Merge. (It was one of our Top 100 Albums of 2017.) Now he has shared a video for “Stay Lost.” Maxwell McCabe-Lokos directed the clip. He also stars in it as a man building something that is not fully revealed until the video’s conclusion. Watch it below, followed by Destroyer’s upcoming tour dates.
McCabe-Lokos had this to say in a press release: “The video tries to capture the song’s wit and ability to portray someone’s preoccupation, their metaphysical condition, with so few words. Stay Lost - an endorsement for those who don’t fit, for those who will build their own totems, and revel in their ability to do it.”
