Watch Kendrick Lamar’s Fiery Grammys Performance
Performed "The Blacker the Berry," "Alright," and New Song

Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar may have lost the Album of the Year award at the Grammys last night to Taylor Swift, but he may have won for best Grammys 2016 performance (if there was such an award). Lamar’s performance was politically charged and confronted issues of race, starting with him performing in handcuffs in a prison set, before transitioning to an Africa-themed set and ending his performance in front of the outline of the African continent with “Compton” written on it. Lamar performed “The Blacker the Berry” and “Alright” from his 2015 album To Pimp a Butterfly (which won Best Rap Album last night, among various awards Lamar collected), along with a new song. Watch the performance below.
