Tegan and Sara released a new album, Love You to Death, back in June via Warner Bros. Now the Quin sisters have shared a video for “Faint of Heart.” Devon Kirkpatrick directed the clip, which takes place at a lip sync battle and features members of the LGBTQ community impersonating various music icons, including David Bowie, Prince, Madonna, Grace Jones, Elvis Presley, and Tegan and Sara. Tegan and Sara show up briefly at the end in the audience. Watch below via Teen Vogue (who premiered it).

The video was coincidentally shot the day after the massacre at an Orlando gay club. Tegan Quin had this to say about the video to Teen Vogue: “First and foremost we just hope it reaches LGBTQ people and makes them feel realized. Some of the themes of the video - mentorship, finding community, expression, bravery - are things you see so many LGBTQ youth actively pursuing in order to thrive. We need to be strong against a lot of hate in this world…. [Hopefully] a wider audience is able to see the incredible talent and beauty of LGBTQ youth. I hope that it reminds people to not be consumed with what others might think, but instead to follow their hearts and feel empowered to express themselves freely, openly, and happily.”

The sisterly duo have previously shared the audio for Love You to Death tracks “Boyfriend,” “U-turn,” and “Stop Desire.” Then they also shared videos for “Boyfriend,” “U-turn,” “100x,” and “BWU.” They have intentions of releasing a video for each song on the album.

Love You to Death is the follow-up to 2013’s Heartthrob, which probably featured the Quin sister’s biggest song yet, “Closer,” and brought them an even bigger audience. Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sia, Beck, Ellie Goulding) produced Love You to Death, which is the duo’s eighth album.
