Castle Rock is a new TV show on Hulu that brings together various settings and characters from Stephen King’s writings. Even though the show is currently streaming, with new episodes every Wednesday and only two more episodes this season, a new trailer for the show has been shared and it features a previously unreleased Father John Misty track in which he covers Link Wray’s “Fallin’ Rain” exclusively for the show. Father John Misty (aka Josh Tillman) has shared a new remix of “Things It Would Have Been Helpful To Know Before The Revolution.” For the remix he has partnered with The Haxan Cloak (aka British producer and musician Bobby Krlic). As a press release points out, “the rework strips the song of its lush instrumentation and glib tone.” The remix makes the song much more ominous, especially when heard with the accompanying visual that includes stock footage of melting icecaps, riots, and animal attacks, juxtaposed with millennials partying at music festivals. Now “What Went Down” gets the remix treatment courtesy of The Haxan Cloak (aka British producer and musician Bobby Krlic), who muddies up the song with distorted vocals and dirty beats.
