Arlo Parks has announced a filmed variety show special that will feature performances by Romy (The xx), Dave Okumu (The Invisible), and Glass Animals. The hour long show, titled Tonight With Arlo Parks, will premiere on Jan. 29 at 12 p.m. PST / 3 p.m. EST, where it will be viewable on both the Amazon Music channel on Twitch and the Amazon Music app (it will also be made available on Feb. 1 via Prime Video).

The Muckers
NYC-based band The Muckers has had a long road to its debut release. The band’s first burst of mainstream attention came in the wake of Trump’s infamous Muslim ban, with Iranian-born frontman Emir Mohseni making his way over to New York to play rock music the day before the ban went into effect. Mohseni put together a new line-up only for the pandemic to intervene once again, throwing a wrench into the band’s lauded live shows.

Parisian indie quartet Hoorsees have returned with another single from their upcoming self-titled debut record, “Get Tired,” premiering with Under the Radar. The jangly indie track is the third single released from the album, following the lush melodic escapism of last year’s “Overdry” and “Videogames.” With a scruffy slacker demeanor coupled with emotive, heart-on-their-sleeve writing, the band perfectly encapsulates young adult boredom and frustration.

The Pink Stones
Athens Georgia, the college town that introduced R.E.M., The Drive-By Truckers, and the B-52s to the world has once again produced an exciting rising new band. The Pink Stones formed around frontman Hunter Pinkston after the longtime punk fan began to gravitate towards country in college. Badlands
It has been a long time since we’ve heard from Swedish producer, composer, and sound designer Catharina Jaunviksna, a.k.a. Badlands. After drawing acclaim for her 2016 solo debut, Locus, Badlands remained mostly quiet for several years. Jaunviksna first started teasing towards a new release in 2020 with a handful of singles and she’s now approaching the release of her long-awaited follow-up, Djinn, due out March 5 on Jauviksna’s self-run label, RITE.
