Lost Horizons
Lost Horizons are releasing a new two-part double album, In Quiet Moments—part one came out in December and part two is due out February 26 via Bella Union. Now they have shared a new song from part two, jazzy title track “In Quiet Moments,” which features Ural Thomas, an 82-year-old Portland-based soul singer.

Oxymorrons
NYC-based band Oxymorrons have released their latest single, “Green Vision.” Increasingly in the streaming age genre lines mean less and less and Oxymorrons are coming up as part of a new branch of genre-blenders, refusing to be boxed in by outside expectations of what rock music sounds like.

Kino Motel
Melbourne-based duo Kino Motel have released their newest single, “Simple Desire,” premiering with Under the Radar. Ed Fraser and Rosa Mercedes, the minds behind Kino Motel, first met on a Berlin commune before hitting the road together. The new project was born following a 2019 basement night of karaoke in Vietnam. When day broke Fraser and Mercedes came out with a new band, Kino Motel, named after the band’s birthplace.

POSTDATA
Halifax-based indie rock project POSTDATA, has shared its newest track, “Nobody Knows,” premiering with Under the Radar. Some may be familiar with Paul Murphy, the mind behind POSTDATA, for his time fronting Wintersleep, but Murphy also has shown a penchant for acoustic, folk-oriented songwriting through his work as POSTDATA. Murphy has returned following 2018’s Let’s Be Wilderness LP with a handful of singles off his latest project, Twin Flames.

Aja Volkman-Reynolds and Dan Epand, formerly two-thirds of the LA alt rock trio Nico Vega, have returned with a new video for their track “Cage Fighter,” premiering with Under the Radar. Though Nico Vega disbanded in 2018 Volkman-Reynolds and Epand came back together last year as TWO with a new project, Pull The Knife Out.

Jazzie Young
LA-based indie pop musician Jazzie Young is releasing her newest single, “Fake Love,” premiering with Under the Radar. The 26 year old singer has been writing music since she was a child, but only started releasing her own material in 2019. After a handful of singles last year, “Fake Love” is the first single Young has released in 2021, diving back into her style of soulful indie pop ahead of her upcoming EP Grown Up & Apart.

Created entirely under lockdown, Scrolling to feel better…part one, the band’s latest album, is a quarantine album through and through. Nick Broman and Lucas del Calvo worked online, sending beats back and forth from Broman’s NYC apartment and the basement of del Cavo’s Vermont Airbnb.
