Baroness have announced a new album, Purple, which is due out December 18 via the band’s own Abraxan Hymns label. Today they have also shared the first single from it, “Chlorine & Wine.” Purple is the first album since the terrible tour bus crash in England in 2012 that left nine people injured and happened only a month after the band’s last album, Yellow & Green was released. After the accident drummer Allen Blickle and bassist Matt Maggioni left the band and the current lineup features existing members, guitarists/vocalists John Baizley and Pete Adams, being joined by bassist/keyboardist Nick Jost and drummer Sebastian Thomson. Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev) produced the album. Check out “Chlorine & Wine” below, followed by the album’s tracklist.

Purple Tracklist:

Morningstar
Shock Me
Try to Disappear
Kerosene
Fugue
Chlorine & Wine
The Iron Bell
Desperation Burns
If I Have to Wake Up (Would You Stop the Rain)
Crossroads of Infinity
