Colombian artist Ela Minus is releasing a new album, DIA, this Friday via Domino. Now she has shared another song from it, “QQQQ.” Check it out below.
The song’s lyrics are in Minus’ native Spanish, but the press release for “QQQQ” includes an English translation:
If it’s going to be like this,
Let the world end.
Let the world end.
Lately I’ve been feeling
that we are all agreeing
this is the end
but if we are going to give up,
Might as well end it here.
Let the world end now.
If it’s going to be like this,
Let the world end.
If what i’m looking at is “it”
Let it all end.
Let it end here, right now.
Let the world end.
Let it end here, now.
Let it end here, now
Let it end here, now
Let the world end.
The press release also states that the song “captures disappointment and detachment with candor and gravity, reflecting the sense of self-reflection and private reckoning found throughout DÍA.”
Previously Ela Minus shared the album’s lead single, “BROKEN,” via a music video. It was one of our Songs of the Week. The album also includes “COMBAT,” a new song she shared in June. “UPWARDS” was the next single from the album.
DIA follows her acclaimed 2020 debut album, acts of rebellion, and 2022’s collaborative EP with DJ Python.
