Ryley Walker has announced a new album, Golden Sings That Have Been Sung, and shared its first single, “The Halfwit in Me.” He has also announced some tour dates. The slightly awkwardly titled Golden Sings That Have Been Sung is due out August 19 via Dead Oceans. Below is the beautifully sprawling “The Halfwit in Me,” the album’s tracklist, Walker’s tour dates, and the album’s cover art.

Golden Sings That Have Been Sung is the follow-up to 2015’s Primrose Green, an album that garnered the singer/songwriter/guitarist a slightly larger audience and more critical acclaim. The album was recorded in Chicago over the 2015 Christmas break and was produced by sometime Wilco multi-instrumentalist LeRoy Bach. “It was everything I wanted it to be,” Walker says of the sessions in a press release. “I would go to LeRoy’s house every other day with a riff, and we would take it from there.”
