Sun Kil Moon (the project of Mark Kozelek) has announced a new album. It’s titled Common as Light and Love Are Red Valleys of Blood and is not due out until February 28, 2017 (via Caldo Verde). In an era of surprise album releases and less advance notice for album release dates, that’s a long way off. But Kozelek has already shared a song from it, “God Bless Ohio.” It’s another long and somewhat rambling song from Kozelek that talks about playing Jimmy Fallon, the prison where Shawshank Redemption was filmed, foreclosed homes, and his mother. You can stream the song over at Sun Kil Moon’s website. No other details about the album have been shared, but we’ve got time.
