Tim Burgess of The Charlatans has announced, As I Was Now, a 10-year-old unreleased album featuring Burgess on vocals, along with an all-star lineup that includes Ladyhawke, Josh Hayward (The Horrors), Martin Duffy (Felt/ Primal Scream), Debbie Googe (My Bloody Valentine), and Steffan Halperin (The Chavs/Klaxons). It’s a Record Store Day release due out April 21 via O Genesis Recordings. He has shared the album’s first single, “Inspired Again.” Listen to it below, followed by the album’s tracklist and cover art.

The album was recorded December 28th and December 31st 2008. As Burgess explains in a press release: “It was snowing, Josh had to get back [to London] for New Year’s Eve. We were complaining about how boring things were between Christmas and New Year, so we got together to record some songs. It was back then. Not now. Some songs were more complete than others, others appear on this record more finished than others.”
