In the music video for their song “Houdini” dance-pop trio Foster the People suffer a horrible death when a piece of rigging crushes them into oblivion. Of course that’s just the beginning of the concept. Scrambling to keep their golden goose hatching as long as they can, the band’s label and handlers dial up a mysterious Chinese businessman to bring the boys back to life with a little bit of puppetry magic and facial rewiring.
