What it lacks in explainable concept, Grimes’ music video for her single “Genesis” makes up with style and strangeness. Directed by artist Claire Boucher herself, the clip features the Visions singles being juxtaposed against snakes, swords, and sparklers, as well as elaborately costumed characters and locations that include the desert and inside a limousine. You certainly can’t say Boucher doesn’t know how to develop something eye-catching.
