Yo La Tengo have announced a new album, Stuff Like That There, due for release on August 28 via longtime label Matador. Taking a page from their 25-year-old album Fakebook, the new album is a mix of Yo La Tengo originals, covers of other artists’ songs, and covers of their own songs. The band have shared two tracks from Stuff Like That There, a cover of Special Pillow’s “Automatic Doom” and a remake of their own song, “Deeper Into Movies,” from 1997’s Can Hear the Heart Beating as One. The album also includes covers of songs by The Cure, Hank Williams, The Lovin’ Spoonful, and others.

Former member Dave Schramm has rejoined the band on electric guitar, adding to existing members Ira Kaplan, Georgia Hubley, and James McNew. If you pre-order the album via Matador’s webstore you get a Yo La Tengo totebag containing a “cassingle (with new unreleased songs) and mystery stuff.” The band has also announced some tour dates, which will be the first time this Yo La Tengo line-up has toured.

Check out the two tracks below, followed by the tracklisting, tour dates, and album cover.
