American Football have announced a new album, American Football (LP3) (in other words it's their third self-titled album), and shared its first single, "Silhouettes." American Football (LP3) is due out March 22, 2019 via Polyvinyl and features guest vocals from Paramore's Hayley Williams, Land of Talk's Elizabeth Powell, and Slowdive's Rachel Goswell. Check out "Silhouettes" below, followed by the album's tracklist and cover art.

The album is the follow-up to 2016's American Football (LP2). That long-awaited sophomore album from the emo heroes arrived 17 after their 1999-released self-titled debut. American Football is Steve Holmes (guitar), Mike Kinsella (vocals, guitar), Nate Kinsella (bass), and Steve Lamos (drums, trumpet). As with their last album, Jason Cupp produced the new album, which was recorded at the same studio as LP2, Arc Studios in Omaha, Nebraska.

Kinsella had this to say about the album in a press release: "We put a lot of time and a lot of energy into it. We were all thoughtful about what we wanted to put out there. Last time, it was figuring out how to use all of our different arms. This time, we were like - Ok we have these arms, let's use them."

The band have announced one concert, a record release show on March 30, 2019 at The Metro in Chicago.
