Cults Set a Date For Debut Album

We knew this day was coming for the enigmatic pop duo Cults, who signed with Columbia Records in 2010 after releasing several online tracks. Today, Cults announced that their debut full-length is slated for a June 7 release, and according to the duo’s press release, we should expected nothing less than “deliciously offbeat, slanted and enchanted songs.” Not sure how Stephen Malkmus feels about that, considering Cults’ dreamy pop flare, yet the release also assures the record has tinges of My Bloody Valentine. If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that influences are varied and eclectic.
Cults also released today single “You Know What I Mean,” a beautifully soulful track that runs much to short to really sink in. But like the mystery surounding their formation, Cults really knows how to keep us wanting more. Listen to “You Know What I Mean” below.
