Listen: The Joy Formidable - “Cholla”
First Proper Single From Sophomore LP Wolf's Law
Sep 07, 2012 The Joy Formidable
A while back anthem amp exploders The Joy Formidable announced the release of their forthcoming sophomore album Wolf’s Law, releasing a video for a song sharing the same name. While it was revealed by the band that the track wouldn’t make an official appearance on the new record, it was meant to provide listeners with a sense of the band’s ultimate musical and thematic direction. Last night on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1, the UK DJ premiered the track “Cholla,” the first proper single to be featured on The Big Roar follow-up. Calling into the program, frontwoman Ritzy Bryan said “nature for us is a huge inspiration, an important metaphor for all different types of life in general.” Recorded in Portland, Maine, Wolf’s Law drops sometime in January.
