Stream Beck’s “Song Reader”
Featuring Jack White, Jeff Tweedy, Jarvis Cocker and More
Jul 29, 2014 Beck
Back in 2012 Beck released Song Reader, an album of sheet music. Though eventually staging a brief number of concerts to showcase the written tracks, Beck has finally released an official studio version of the record, albeit in a rather atypical fashion. Gathering together a few of his musically-inclined friends, Beck’s Song Reader is completely absent of its mastermind, instead featuring contributions from Jack White, Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker, Eleanor Friedberger, Laura Marling, Norah Jones, Fun., even Jack Black.
Out now, the special compilation is available to stream in full on Spotify here.
