From the stellar soundtrack to its ability to accurately (and hilariously) capture the innocence of childhood, The Wonder Years set a precedent for substantive television in the late ‘80s.

Set in the late ‘60s, The Wonder Years followed the adolescence of Kevin Arnold (Fred Savage) for six full seasons, from ages 12 to 17. The show featured Daniel Stern as the adult voice of Kevin reflecting throughout each episode—from Kevin’s first kiss to his first day of high school. The show’s unique storytelling method earned multiple Emmys and solid ratings.

The show has remained unavailable on DVD for years due to legal battles over music rights, but this new complete series, encased in a replica of Kevin’s Kennedy Junior High locker, finally brings it all together. Kevin Arnold reflected: “And the thing is, after all these years, I still look back…with wonder.” This beautiful box set makes it possible for the viewer to do the same.
